Baines Masonry Blocks were featured in the William Inglis Hotel and Riverside Stables project this year, which was awarded with two awards at the Excellence in Brick & Block Awards. Held by Masonry Contractors Australia Ltd the awards highlight the high quality and design that the blocks exhibit and why they are the preferred block supplier for architects across Australia.

Since 1993, the MCA has provided a platform to showcase one of the country’s most prestigious masonry award programs. As the only national organisation to represent Masonry contractors, the Awards has become the nation’s premiere contractor event featuring clay brick and concrete blocks.

Best work is awarded across various categories, with Baines Masonry Blocks featured in the awards for ‘Blockwork - Face’ and ‘Brickwork - Commercial and Public Buildings’. These awards were presented to the William Inglis Hotel and Riverside Stables with the blockwork being completed by E-Masonry.

Western Sydney’s newest five-star tourism and events destination, the $140m Inglis Riverside Stables complex defeated many impressive finalists. Opened in January this year, the facility features stabling for more than 800 horses. The buildings feature the Baines Masonry Appinstone coloured Betta Block in a smooth finish, which provides a sleek design and perfect backdrop for the equine sport. This block is a very versatile block with various design capabilities while providing the structural foundation required by any architect.
