Baines Masonry Blocks is well underway with the building and construction of the new block manufacturing facility at Appin. This week marks another milestone in construction, which leaves us on track for the opening in 2019.

The new block facility has been introduced due to the rising demand by our ever-growing customer base. With our extensive range of masonry blocks and the plan to introduce new blocks, the timing of this plant is impeccable. With installing and wiring of machinery soon to be completed it won’t be long until the next chapter of growth for Baines Masonry.

To date, the Kiln structure is complete with all the wall panel installation and roofing finalised, and both internal and external ductwork installed. The machine room has had insulation sound proofing sheets installed to keep the noise in and all the roller doors have been installed. We have had retaining walls, bunding areas for admixture storage, and also the commencement of the oxide dispenser enclosure built using our masonry blocks. Overall approximately 90% of external concrete work is complete.

We now have power to the site courtesy of ANE Electrical. The painting has been completed and vinyl flooring installed thanks to Better Floors Wollongong. The amenities have been fitted out by DM Plumbing. Our Curing System arrived thanks to CDS- UK. Also, our Curing racks have begun to arrive which have been made by Mercer Engineering and DJ Hobbs Panel 'n' Paint.
